Death of a wounded soldier in a capital hospital: an inspection of the medical facility revealed violations, a forensic medical examination is underway

A commission of the Kyiv City State Administration revealed violations at the emergency hospital following the death of soldier Serhiy Kuznetsov. The facility is preparing personnel and management decisions.

An audit is nearing completion at the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Kyiv City Clinical Emergency Hospital" following reports of the death of Serhiy Kuznetsov, a wounded soldier of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade. As reported by the Health Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, a number of violations were discovered at the medical facility, and appropriate management and personnel decisions will be made, UNN reports.

The commission of the Health Department of the Kyiv City State Administration is completing a comprehensive audit of the activities of the MNE "Kyiv City Clinical Emergency Hospital," in accordance with the requirements of current legislation and established procedures.
During the audit, the commission identified a number of violations. The procedure for obtaining and analyzing official explanations from the director of the institution, Viktor Dorosh, is currently underway. Upon completion of the audit, appropriate management and personnel decisions will be made,
The Department also informs that a forensic medical examination is being conducted regarding the death of the wounded serviceman of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade, Serhiy Kuznetsov. The findings of the examination are to establish the direct causes of the serviceman's death.
In addition, the Health Department will conduct an audit of all municipal healthcare facilities in the capital regarding the quality, completeness, and timeliness of medical care provided to servicemen and veterans.
The Department emphasizes that ensuring the proper level of medical care for the Defenders of Ukraine is an unconditional priority for the city's healthcare system.

Earlier, activists reported that due to "medical negligence" at the Kyiv City Clinical Emergency Hospital, Serhiy Kuznetsov, a soldier of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade, died "after a relatively light shrapnel wound."
