Currency exchange rate as of April 25: hryvnia strengthened by 11 kopecks

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official hryvnia exchange rate at 39.4716 UAH/USD, which strengthened the hryvnia by 11 kopecks, UNN reports citing the NBU.

Details

The official dollar exchange rate is 39.47 UAH/USD. The NBU has also set the official euro to hryvnia exchange rate at 42.18 UAH/€.

According to the data on specialized websites, as of 9:15 am:

• The dollar can be bought for UAH 39.88 and sold for UAH 39.40 in banks. The euro can be bought for UAH 42.90 and sold for UAH 42.20 in banks. 
• In exchange offices, the dollar is traded at UAH 39.75-39.85, and the euro at UAH 42.75-42.90. 
• On the interbank market, the exchange rates are UAH 39.57-39.59 for the dollar and UAH 42.32-42.33 for the euro, respectively.

In the first quarter of 2024 , banks' cash turnover increased: cash receipts increased by 4.8% and cash disbursements by 14.8% compared to the same period in 2023, indicating a recovery in economic activity due to higher wages, social payments, a stable currency market and low inflation.
