Court orders removal of Trump's name from Kennedy Center

A U.S. Federal Court has prohibited renaming the Kennedy Center after Trump and closing the institution. The inscription with the politician's surname must be removed within 14 days.
A federal court in the US has ordered the leadership of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to remove President Donald Trump's name from the building and prohibited the implementation of plans to close the facility for two years. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.

The corresponding decision was made by U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper in Washington. He ruled that the Kennedy Center's board of trustees cannot proceed with a decision made in March to temporarily close the arts venue.
The court also prohibited the use of any inscriptions on the building indicating that the center is named after anyone other than President John F. Kennedy. Within 14 days, the facility's management must remove the inscription "Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts."
Furthermore, the Kennedy Center is prohibited from distributing official materials that use Trump's name or any other names that contradict the official name of the institution.
The decision dealt a blow to Trump's plans
As the agency notes, the court's decision became an obstacle to a number of Trump's initiatives to change the appearance of historical sites in Washington. In particular, this refers to projects for the construction of a new ballroom near the White House, changing the appearance of government buildings, and other large-scale architectural plans.
The Kennedy Center is the primary national venue in the US for theatrical, musical, and cultural events and bears the name of the country's 35th president, John F. Kennedy.
