The Head of State thanked her for the warm and important words of support for Ukraine and our people.
"We appreciate that Costa Rica is with us both during votes on resolutions at the UN General Assembly and in efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, as well as in holding the Russian Federation accountable for its crimes, including the crime of aggression," Zelenskyy said.
They discussed the potential for cooperation between the two countries. There are many different areas in which the partnership between Ukraine and Costa Rica could produce good results. Costa Rica is interested in Ukraine’s experience in the field of security.
The leaders agreed that their teams would work on a possible format for a meeting at the leaders’ level.
Zelenskyy invited Laura Fernández Delgado to visit Ukraine, while she invited the President of Ukraine to Costa Rica.
