China's Foreign Ministry calls for a ceasefire after the US allows Ukraine to use long-range missiles. Beijing denies EU accusations of supplying drones to Russia.
China called for a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine after Washington allowed Kyiv to use long-range US missiles.

“The most important thing is to help cool down the situation as soon as possible,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian at a regular briefing, answering a question about the US decision.
Lin also denied reports that EU officials had obtained evidence that Russian drones used in the war were manufactured in China. Beijing “has never provided lethal weapons to the parties in the conflict, and has strictly controlled military and dual-use drones in accordance with laws and regulations from the very beginning,” he said.
“We hope that the countries and individuals concerned will not make wild speculations or slander China without factual basis.
