Anti-corruption and economic effect of digitalization amounted to UAH 34 billion - Shmyhal

The Prime Minister of Ukraine reported that digitalization has yielded an updated anti-corruption and economic effect of UAH 34 billion, emphasizing that despite the intrusion into Ukraine's territory, the expansion of services continues. Digital services such as online marriage and birth registration have eliminated numerous opportunities for bribery.
During a speech at the Diia Summit, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that, according to updated data, the anti-corruption and economic effect of the state's digitalization is UAH 34 billion, UNN reports .
Already in the pre-war year of 21, the anti-corruption and economic effect of digitalization amounted to more than UAH 15 billion. UAH 34 billion is the updated figure for the annual economic and anti-corruption effect. Today we are introducing new services and we will further enhance this effect .

According to Shmyhal, digitalization not only makes services convenient, but also helps to save money.
The Prime Minister also said that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 70 new services have been launched in the Diia app.
The most popular services among Ukrainians are online marriage and birth certificates, declarations with family doctors, and online social services.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at the Diia Summit that Diia has 14 digital documents in a smartphone and more than 130 online services.
"Each of the more than 130 online services in Diia means that more than 130 opportunities to take a bribe have been removed," Zelenskyy emphasized.
