The Ukrainian parliament has passed a law allowing the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption to check assets acquired by officials before entering public service, which is a condition for EU integration

The MP pointed out that the European Commission in its report drew attention to the need to abolish restrictions on the NACP's powers to continue verification of assets that have already passed the verification process and to verify property acquired by declarants before their appointment to public service, without prejudice to the rules applicable to national security during martial law.
"This is one of the important conditions for further European integration," Zheleznyak said.
