A prisoner who beat another inmate to death with a wooden stick will be tried in Khmelnytsky Oblast. The incident occurred in May in the Shepetivka Correctional Colony during a quarrel between prisoners.
An inmate of a penal colony who beat another convict to death will be tried in Khmelnytsky region, the Khmelnytsky regional prosecutor's office said on Tuesday, UNN reported.

"An indictment was sent to the court against a prisoner of the Shepetivka correctional colony on the fact of inflicting intentional grievous bodily harm that caused the victim's death (Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement said.
As noted, the man committed the crime in May of this year in the Shepetivka Correctional Colony.
"It was established that a quarrel arose between the two convicts. During the argument, the accused inflicted numerous blows to the other prisoner's limbs and head with a wooden stick. The victim was seriously injured. He was hospitalized in a hospital located on the territory of the colony, but later he died," the prosecutor's office said.
