An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred 44 km east of Tago in the Philippines, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and no tsunami threat.

Details

According to the center, the epicenter of the tremors was located 44 km east of the city of Tago with a population of about 6.3 thousand people. The source was located at a depth of 31 km.

There was no information on casualties or damage. No tsunami threat was announced.

As a reminder

On December 2, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines. After it, a tsunami threat was announced in the southeast of the country, as well as in Japan  . In addition, seismologists registered at least 14 aftershocks with magnitudes ranging from 3.0 to 5.6.
