A humanitarian corridor to leave the TOT for Ukraine-controlled territory opened in Volyn

A humanitarian corridor has been opened in Volyn to allow people to leave the temporarily occupied territories. Ukrainians can cross the border at the Mokrany-Domanove checkpoint and receive assistance from volunteers and local authorities.

To leave the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) for the government-controlled territory of Ukraine, Ukrainians can use the humanitarian corridor in Volyn. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration, UNN reports .

Until recently, Ukrainians from the TOT were returning to government-controlled territory through the humanitarian corridor Kolotylivka - Pokrovka in Sumy region. Currently, this humanitarian corridor has been suspended due to enemy shelling,

The Mokrany-Domanovo checkpoint on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border remains a possible option for exit. It can be used by all citizens of Ukraine with any Ukrainian documents.

After crossing the border , Ukrainian citizens are met by representatives of local authorities, social and emergency services, and volunteers. The latter provide assistance with transportation for the elderly and people with limited mobility. In addition, volunteers provide free transportation to Kovel and, if necessary, help to purchase train tickets to other regions of Ukraine.

It is noted that everyone is provided with the opportunity to stay for a free night with meals. Registration for financial assistance in the amount of UAH 10,800 from an international organization is also being conducted and assistance is provided in finding free temporary housing, employment, etc.
