146 combat engagements at the frontline today: where is the hottest and what is happening on Kozatsky Island

There were 146 combat engagements over the day, most of them in the Kursk and Pokrovsk sectors. The enemy unsuccessfully stormed Ukrainian positions near Kozatsky Island twice.
146 battles have taken place on the front since the beginning of the day, almost half of them in the Kursk and Pokrovsk sectors, and the enemy has twice unsuccessfully stormed the area of Kozatsky Island, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 16:00 on December 20, UNN reports.
Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 146. The occupants continue to use aviation, in particular, to drop KABs, and to carry out attacks in all directions of the combat line. Defense forces hold the line and take measures to prevent a breakthrough
The invaders, as indicated, do not stop using artillery on the territories of the border regions bordering the Russian Federation. The areas of Velyka Pysarivka, Oleksandrivka, Vintorivka, Yastrubshchyna in Sumy region; Tymofiyivka in Kharkiv region; and Klyusy in Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.
According to the General Staff, this is the situation in the following areas:
Our troops stopped five assault actions of the invaders near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove and Lozova in the Kupyansk sector, three more engagements are still ongoing.
In the Liman sector, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Yampolivka, Terny, Ivanivka, Torske, Hryhorivka and Serebryansky forest. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 11 combat engagements in this sector, four of which are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, three firefights are currently underway.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, supported by aviation, attacked the positions of our troops four times in vain near the settlements of Toretsk and Leonidivka. The enemy also dropped a bomb near Kostyantynivka.
In the Pokrovske sector, the enemy attacked our troops' positions 31 times today in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Dachanske, Vovkove, Pishchane, Novovasylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novooleksiyivka and Ukrainka, five of the attacks are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove sector, our defenders repelled 19 enemy attacks in the areas of Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne, Dalne, Kostyantynopolske and Kostyantynopil. Sixteen enemy assaults have already been repelled by our defenders, and three more firefights are ongoing.
In the Vremivsk sector, 13 enemy attacks were stopped near Uspenivka, Dalne, Yantarne, Rozlyv, Bohatyr, Velyka Novosilka, Makarivka, Novosilka, Novopil and Novodarivka, and three more attacks are still ongoing.
On the Orikhivske direction, our defenders successfully repelled one enemy attempt to advance in the area of Mala Tokmachka.
In the Prydniprovsky sector near Kozatsky Island, the enemy stormed our defenders' positions twice today without success.
"40 combat engagements took place today in the Kursk sector, in addition, the enemy launched one missile attack and 260 artillery attacks," the General Staff reported.
In the Kharkiv, Siversk and Huliaipil sectors, the enemy did not conduct any active operations since the beginning of the day.
