The Verkhovna Rada has passed in the first reading the draft law No. 11543 on school safety. The document provides for mandatory fencing of the territory, technical security equipment and new rules for staying in educational institutions.

The Parliament passed in the first reading a draft law on defining persons who cannot be adoptive parents.

The Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading the draft law No. 9495 on the protection of the rights of deported children. The document defines the status of deported children and the procedure for their return to Ukraine; currently, there are more than 19,000 such children.

The city of Brovary is actively implementing alternative energy sources at critical infrastructure facilities. Solar panels are installed in hospitals and kindergartens, and alternative fuel boilers are used.

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a law on creating an interactive housing database for IDPs. Displaced persons will be able to choose housing through a public card and apply for accommodation.

The Verkhovna Rada has supported the draft law on the elimination of medical and social expert commissions. Their functions will be transferred to new expert commissions in cluster and super-cluster medical institutions.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted two draft laws on the postponement of conscription for civilians who have been captured. Also, those whose non-family members were killed or went missing during the fighting will be eligible for exemption.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 592 children have been killed and 1702 more injured. More than 19,000 children have been deported, and 1,934 are missing.

The National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications held an auction to sell radio frequency spectrum licenses to Vodafone, Kyivstar and Lifecell. The operators will install 1,500 new base stations and ensure rapid restoration of communications in the de-occupied territories.
