Parliament has voted in favor of a request to President Zelensky to strip MP Yuriy Boyko of the title of “Hero of Ukraine.” 232 MPs voted in favor of the decision.
Parliament has supported a request to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to strip MP Yuriy Boyko of the title of “Hero of Ukraine,” MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Thursday, UNN reports.
The Rada supported the request of my colleague Roman Lozynskyi to the President of Ukraine to deprive MP Boyko of the title of “Hero of Ukraine”. There are many more names for deprivation of awards in the request. FOR - 232
In his turn, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko pointed outandthat only the request to the President was approved.
“The title of Hero of Ukraine can be revoked by the President of Ukraine, as it is he who grants this title,” Goncharenko reminded.
Today, on December 19 , the Verkhovna Rada recalled MP Yuriy Boyko from the Human Rights Committee. During the consideration of the resolution, there was a scuffle between the deputies of the Servant of the People and European Solidarity.

Yuriy Boyko, a former MP from the pro-Russian Opposition Platform - For Life party and now the head of the Platform for Life and Peace parliamentary group, has begun actively posting videos on TikTok with pro-Russian narratives.
MPs submitted a resolution to recall Boyko from the Rada Human Rights Committee due to his spreading pro-Russian narratives.
