The President of Ukraine signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization until August 2. Prior to that, the Verkhovna Rada extended the duration of mobilization and martial law.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees extending martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for another three months. This is reported by the editorial office of UNN.

According to laws No. 15197 and No. 15198, martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine have been extended for another three months — until August 2.
Context
On April 28, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine extended martial law in Ukraine for 90 days starting from May 4.
The Verkhovna Rada also extended the period of general mobilization in Ukraine. The document provides for the extension of the general mobilization period in Ukraine from May 4, 2026, for 90 days.
As a reminder
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, signed an order regarding the mandatory rotation of military personnel on the front line — commanders must ensure conditions for soldiers to remain in positions for up to 2 months, followed by mandatory rotation no later than one month later.
