Verkhovna Rada approves extension of martial law in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada has approved a presidential decree extending martial law in Ukraine. Zelenskyy proposed to extend martial law and general mobilization for 90 days from August 12.
The Verkhovna Rada has adopted bill to approve a presidential decree extending martial law in Ukraine, UNN reports .
339 MPs voted in favor. Martial law was extended until November 11.
Earlier it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to extend martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine from August 12 for 90 days.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine.
