The United States will not shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine, but will instead provide weapons and air defense equipment to the Ukrainian military.
The United States of America will not protect Ukrainian skies from Russian missiles and drones as it did with Israel during the massive Iranian attack. During a briefing at the White House, this was stated by National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby, UNN reports.

When asked by a member of the press whether the United States is as ready to shoot down drones over Ukraine as it was in the Middle East, Joe Biden's adviser said he expected this discussion. However, "we're talking about different countries, different airspace, different threat patterns.
According to Kirby, the US president made it clear from the very beginning of the "conflict" that the United States would not take part in the fighting in Ukraine. The White House believes that the best solution is to provide weapons and air defense equipment to the Ukrainian military - but the administration cannot do this now because "there is no additional funding for national security.
