U.S. believes ATACMS should be better used for strikes on Crimea - CNN

The U.S. has a limited supply of ATACMS missiles for Ukraine and believes they would be better used for strikes in Crimea. Some officials are concerned that Ukraine may have created weaknesses in its front line by sending experienced forces to the Kursk region.
The United States has a limited stockpile of long-range ATACMS missiles that it can transfer to Ukraine. The United States believes that ATACMS should be used for strikes on Crimea, not the Kursk region of Russia. This was reported by CNN, according to UNN.
The U.S. also does not want to allow Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range weapons in the Kursk area, several officials said - not because of the risk of escalation, but because the U.S. has a limited supply of long-range missiles, known as ATACMS, to provide to Ukraine and believes they would be better used to further attack Russian-occupied Crimea
Some officials have also expressed concern that Ukraine, which according to one Western official has deployed some of its more experienced forces to the Kursk region, may have created weaknesses in its own front lines that Russia could exploit to gain a foothold in Ukraine.
"From a military point of view, it's impressive," the official said of the operation near Kursk. But Ukraine "sends quite experienced troops there, and they cannot afford to lose them.
