US attention has been successfully returned to Ukraine despite the focus on Iran – Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy announced the return of US political attention to Ukraine. Funds from the new package will be directed toward the production of drones and EW systems as early as this summer.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that despite the shift of U.S. attention to the Middle East, Ukraine has managed to bring the political focus of its partners back to the war against Russia. Negotiations regarding new support packages are also ongoing. This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.
Regaining the attention of partners
Against the backdrop of the escalating situation in the Middle East and the intensification of the Iran issue, the question of Ukraine partially receded from the international agenda. However, Ukrainian diplomacy is working to maintain and strengthen the attention of allies.
The President emphasized that relevant results have already been achieved.
"It is very important for us to bring attention back to Ukraine. Today, this attention has returned,"
According to him, the issue of supporting Ukraine was discussed with international partners, and political attention to the war is once again focusing on the European direction.
New aid packages and the PURL program
Special attention during the negotiations was paid to issues of military and financial support. In particular, this refers to new aid packages within international programs.
The President reported that agreements regarding financing under the PURL program are ongoing.
In this context, he also mentioned Canada's decision.
"We are negotiating new support packages, particularly within the PURL program, following Canada's announcement of 200 million dollars,"
Funding for drones and EW
An important topic remains the financial package of 90 billion euros, which is planned to be directed, in particular, to Ukraine's defense needs.
The President emphasized that part of the funds should be utilized in the near future.
"There is a need for the 90 billion euro financial package to arrive as soon as possible, part of which is planned to be directed toward the production of drones and electronic warfare systems as early as the beginning of summer,"
Thus, Ukraine counts not only on maintaining international support but also on its practical strengthening in the near future.
