In March 2025, Ukrainians purchased 4,680 electric vehicles, which is 6% more than last year. The most popular were BYD Song Plus and TESLA Model Y.
In March 2025, 4,680 electric vehicles appeared in the Ukrainian car fleet, which is 6% more than in March 2024, and 4% more compared to February this year. This is reported by Ukrautoprom in Telegram, writes UNN.

"Last month, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 4,680 units of vehicles with battery power sources (BEV) ... Compared to March last year, the demand for electric vehicles increased by 6%, and compared to February 2025 by 4%," the report says.
Among all new and used cars, the main part is passenger electric cars - 4532 units, of which 647 are new and 3885 are used. In total, only 148 commercial electric vehicles were registered in March, of which only 7 were new.
The top 5 new electric vehicles of the month include:
- BYD Song Plus - 100 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.Unyx - 96 units;
- ZEEKR 001 - 69 units;
- ZEEKR 7X - 59 units;
- AUDI Q4 e-tron - 45 units.
The top 5 used electric vehicles registered in Ukraine for the first time are:
- TESLA Model Y - 448 units;
- NISSAN Leaf - 445 units;
- TESLA Model 3 - 410 units;
- HYUNDAI Kona - 273 units;
- KIA Niro - 270 units.
"In total, since the beginning of the year, more than 12.8 thousand electric vehicles have undergone their first registration in Ukraine, which is 8% more than in the first quarter of 2024. Of these, 1978 are new (-26%) and 10 827 are used (+18%)," Ukrautoprom reports.
