The European Union has transferred another billion euros to Ukraine within the framework of the G7 ERA initiative - already the third tranche from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets from the bloc, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on Telegram on Wednesday, UNN writes.

This, according to him, was announced during our meeting with EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis in Brussels.

In total, under the ERA program, European allies have provided Ukraine with 5 billion euros, Shmyhal noted.

"I emphasized at the meeting that our priority is the full confiscation of frozen Russian sovereign assets, which should be used as a resource for the reconstruction of Ukraine. We paid special attention to this issue," Shmyhal said.

Also, according to him, they discussed with Dombrovskis the macroeconomic situation, the progress of reforms and the process of rebuilding Ukraine.

"We thank our partners for supporting the economy and the rapid recovery of our state," the head of government noted.
