Ukraine is able to produce enough fiber optic drones for the Defense Forces - Kamyshin

Ukraine has more than 10 manufacturers of fiber optic drones with a range of up to 20+ km and expects additional funds from the Nordic countries to increase production.
Ukraine is fully capable today of producing enough fiber optic drones for the needs of the Defense Forces. This was announced to a journalist of UNN by the President's Advisor on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin.
Kamyshin commented on the production of fiber optic drones in Ukraine.
We have more than 10 manufacturers that produce (fiber optic drones - ed.) with a range of 10-15-20 and more kilometers. They received the first contracts from the Defense Procurement Agency this spring. And we are fully capable today of producing enough of these drones for the needs of the Defense Forces
According to him, the ZBROYARI: Manufacturing Freedom initiative was launched last year.
This is when our foreign partners buy what is produced in Ukraine at their own expense and transfer it to our Armed Forces at the front. Last year, we received $1.5 billion in commitments, of which $500 million was realized, paid, and delivered to the front. The rest is in progress
The President's advisor also noted that Ukraine is starting the "Norwegian track" this year.
We expect that a significant part of the new funds will come to us through the Norwegian track. We are doing this jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense. Our defense industry is very much looking forward to additional funds, because the funds that Ukraine has, our budget, have long been insufficient. Therefore, this is a very important front for us. We are counting on the Nordic countries this year

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that more than 20 new certified models of drones with fiber optic control systems have appeared since the beginning of this year alone. Already 11 Ukrainian enterprises have mastered the production of such drones. He emphasized that the task is to achieve the largest possible scale of production and supply.
