Ukraine has already harvested more than 22 million tons of new crops

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported harvesting over 22 million tons of new crops. Poltava region has completed the harvest of early grains, while Khmelnytsky region is the leader in terms of yield with 64 c/ha.

Ukraine has already harvested more than 22 million tons of grains and oilseeds, and Poltava region has already completed harvesting early grains and legumes, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"Ukraine continues to harvest early grain crops. We have already harvested over 19 million tons of grain and over 3 million tons of oilseeds. In total, more than 5,871.9 thousand hectares have been threshed, and 22,324.6 million tons of new crops have been harvested. Farmers in Poltava region have completed harvesting early grains and legumes," the Ministry said.

As of today, it has already been collected:

  • wheat - more than 14.7 million tons were harvested;
  • barley - more than 3.8 million tons were harvested;
  • peas - 416.3 thousand tons were harvested;
  • rapeseed - more than 3 million tons of seeds were harvested.

The leaders in grain harvesting are: 

  • Odesa region -  733.3 thousand hectares threshed,  
  • Dnipropetrovska - threshed 630.7 thousand hectares, 
  • Mykolaivska, where 536.5 thousand hectares were threshed.  

Khmelnytsky region leads in terms of yield with 64 c/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said.
