Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a telephone conversation with the head of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar. The parties discussed the escalation of Russian attacks in the Black Sea, their impact on global food security, and agreed to maintain contacts at a high level, reports UNN citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

During the conversation, Sybiha informed his Israeli counterpart about the intensification of Russian terror against civilian vessels and freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. According to him, such actions by Russia pose a threat to global food security, particularly for Israel as an importing country.
The minister also reported on Ukraine's preparation for commemorative events on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy.

In addition, during the telephone conversation, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry accepted Gideon Sa'ar's invitation to visit Israel on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Israel.
