UAH 2.28 million per year per deputy: Rada approves budget for 2025

The Verkhovna Rada has approved the budget for 2025 with expenses of UAH 2.28 million per MP. This is 650 thousand UAH more than in 2024.
The Parliament approved the budget of the Verkhovna Rada for 2025, according to which the rate of expenditure per MP next year will be almost UAH 2.28 million, which is almost UAH 650 thousand more than in 2024. This was reported by UNN with reference to MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak and draft resolution No. 12218.

"12218 is the budget of the Verkhovna Rada for 2025 (240)," Zheleznyak said.
According to the estimate, the rate of expenditures per MP in 2025 will amount to UAH 2 million 279 thousand 550. In particular, they include:
- UAH 90 thousand - to compensate for the cost of traveling through the territory of Ukraine, which are issued to the MP on a monthly basis throughout the term of office;
- UAH 1 million 591 thousand 516 (UAH 132,626 per month) - fund for remuneration of MP's assistants-consultants;
- UAH 350 thousand 133.7 - accruals for remuneration of the MP's assistant consultants;
- UAH 8 thousand to pay for business trips of MPs' assistants to constituencies;
- UAH 2 thousand - reimbursement of expenses for the maintenance of premises in the constituencies;
- UAH 670 - reimbursement of expenses related to the organization and holding of meetings of the MP with voters;
- UAH 237.9 thousand - funds to compensate for the cost of renting a home or renting a hotel room.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada's Secretariat is to be funded in the amount of UAH 3 billion 139 million 284.2 thousand, of which UAH 1.68 billion will be used for lawmaking. UAH 1 billion 374 million 228.7 thousand was allocated for servicing, organizational, information, analytical, logistical support of the Verkhovna Rada's activities.
UAH 78 million 299.5 thousand were allocated to cover the activities of the Verkhovna Rada through television and radio broadcasting and to provide financial support for the publication of the Voice of Ukraine newspaper.
Addendum
The rate of expenses per MP in 2024 is UAH 1 million 632 thousand 339, which is UAH 647 thousand 210.5 less than planned for 2025.
This year's funding for the Verkhovna Rada's Secretariat was envisaged at UAH 2 billion 953.6 million, which is UAH 185 million 684.1 thousand less than planned for next year.
