The SBI has identified four more employees of a district TCC in Odesa region involved in unlawful detention and violence. The total number of suspects has risen to 13.
There are already 13 suspects in the case involving torture at a district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Odesa region. The State Bureau of Investigation has announced new suspicions, the SBI reported on Wednesday, writes UNN.

"SBI employees, with the assistance of the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, identified four more employees of a district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Odesa region who were involved in the unlawful detention and violence against citizens," the statement said.
The individuals were notified of suspicion of unlawful deprivation of liberty and abduction of a person, committed by a group of persons acting in prior conspiracy and involving the infliction of physical suffering on the victim (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"Thus, the total number of suspects in these proceedings has already risen to 13 people," the SBI noted.
The essence of the case
As reported by the SBI, in June 2026 the bureau exposed a group of nine people — six employees of the same district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and three representatives of a local public organization.
According to the investigation, they organized the unlawful delivery and detention of men in the premises of the recruitment center. Representatives of the public organization helped search for people and collected information about them, the SBI said.
"SBI employees documented numerous instances of cruel treatment. The victims were unlawfully detained, beaten, intimidated and subjected to psychological pressure," the statement said.
As reported, the nine previously exposed members of the group are being held in custody without the right to bail. They are suspected of torture, unlawful deprivation of liberty and robbery committed by an organized group (Part 3 of Article 127, Part 2 of Article 146, Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
