This musical instrument has become a true fragment of film history. It was on it that the famous hymn "Nearer My God To Thee" was performed in the scene where the orchestra plays during the sinking of the ship.
The violin will be sold at the Henry Aldridge and Son auction in Wiltshire at the end of the month for an estimated price of £60,000 (over $77,000).
In James Cameron's film, which won numerous Oscars, the role of bandmaster is played by actor Jonathan Evans-Jones, and the violin appears in several scenes, but the most famous was the scene where the orchestra plays the last song before the ship's death.

The violin was sold at auction in 2013 and has since been in the hands of a private collector. The original instrument played by Wallace Hartley was sold for £900,000.
Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said: "Having sold the original violin played by Wallace Hartley when the Titanic sank, we are delighted to be offering at auction the violin played in James Cameron's film, one of the highest grossing films of all time."
This is a true piece of film history that will appeal to both Titanic collectors and collectors of film memorabilia - it's a true crossover collectible.
The violin will be sold with a signed certificate of authenticity on April 26.
