The US announces a new $250 million military aid package for Ukraine

The United States provides Ukraine with $250 million in military aid, including air defense equipment, artillery ammunition, and anti-tank weapons, to strengthen its resistance to Russia.

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced additional security assistance for Ukraine, the White House said on Wednesday evening. House, reports UNN.

It is noted that this will be 54th aid package of the Biden Administration provided from the Ministry of of Defense.

This package includes additional air defense equipment and artillery ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and other equipment to help Ukraine withstand Russia's Russia's aggression.

The possibilities of this much needed package package, which is worth up to USD 250 million, include:

  • Additional munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS);
  • Stinger anti-aircraft missiles;
  • Air defense system components;
  • Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  • 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds; 
  • Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems;
  • More than 15 million rounds of small arms ammunition; 
  • Demolitions munitions for obstacle clearing; 
  • Spare parts, medical equipment, maintenance, and other ancillary equipment. 

It is noted that these funds will support Ukraine's most urgent needs to enable its forces to defend its sovereignty and independence.
