"... today, the Ukrainian delegation in Seoul held meetings with President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Sok Yol, Defense Minister Kim Yong hyun and national security adviser Jang Ho Jin. reported on the facts of the participation of a 12-thousandth contingent of military personnel from North Korea in the Russian army. North Korean troops not only provide equipment and people, but also actively support strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure," Umerov said.
According to him, the actions also pose a serious threat to the Republic of Korea, because North Korean troops are gaining experience in conducting combat operations, which in the future may create additional security challenges in the region.
Umerov added that together with President Yun Sok Yol, they discussed joint steps to strengthen security and stability.
"We believe that our arguments about the need to increase cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea will lead to a tangible strengthening of security for our peoples and regions," the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry concluded.
