The series "The Handmaid's Tale" will get a sequel. Filming of the new season, which will be called "The Testaments", will begin on April 7.
The series "The Handmaid's Tale" starring Elisabeth Moss was supposed to end this year with the sixth and final series. However, the streaming service Hulu pleased fans by announcing that the series will be renewed. Filming of the new season is scheduled to begin on April 7. The series, which became a real hit among moviegoers, was based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 dystopian novel. Its new season, which will be called "The Testaments", is based on the book of the same name by the writer from 2019. The action in it takes place 15 years after "The Handmaid's Tale", when new heroines are already fighting the system and the obligation to give birth to children for those in power.
