At CinemaCon, Disney showed the first footage of the movie "Avatar: Fire and Ashes". The film will present a new Na'vi clan - the People of Ash, and will continue the story of Jake and Neytiri's family.

Disney showed the first shots of the film "Avatar: Fire and Ash" for exhibitors at CinemaCon, presented by James Cameron in a video segment. Cameron said that he is just finishing work on the film in New Zealand, but was happy to share "a look at increasing the emotionality of the heart and soul." This was reported by the Hollywood Reporter, writes UNN.
Cameron also announced that the saga's heroes "will face not only human invaders, but also new enemies, the Ash people."
Details
Avatar star Zoe Saldana took the stage to introduce the film.
Fire and Ash expands the beautiful world of Pandora and introduces two new clans, the Wind Traders and the Ash People
The video begins with Neytiri (Saldana) telling Jake (Sam Worthington): "The strength of the ancestors is here."
After the couple deals with dangerous moments involving a lot of fire, Jake will ask Neytiri to get rid of her hatred: "You can't live like this." Near the end of the scene, one of the characters will say, "We cannot defeat this enemy that came from the stars."
The film will introduce a new Na'vi clan - the People of Ash, and will continue the story of Jake and Neytiri's family after the events of "The Way of Water."
The production center presented cinema owners with a 3-minute teaser, giving them a chance to experience the atmosphere of Cameron's long-awaited sequel to the science fiction film, which is expected to be the studio's main hit.

Addition
The first two Avatar films broke box office records. The first in 2009 became the highest-grossing film of all time, grossing $2.9 billion. The second, The Way of Water, in 2022 became the third highest-grossing film of all time. Exceeding all expectations, the film earned $2.3 billion.
The release of "The Way of Water" was accompanied by concerns about whether Cameron would be able to recreate the "box office magic" of the original, which was facilitated by high 3D ticket sales. Given the undeniable list of achievements of the Oscar-winning screenwriter and director, as well as his confidence that the third film will be released, "Fire and Ash", which will be released on December 19, may cause no less excitement.
"It's really cool. You'll like it," Cameron told the Hollywood Reporter last August.
In another interview, the director added: "I showed it to a few selected people, and the feedback suggests that the film is definitely the most emotional and perhaps the best of the three to date. I can say that I feel confident. And the actors have done an exceptional job. It touches the heart, in a good way."
Nevertheless, Cameron warned that "Fire and Ash" "will be a little longer" than "The Way of Water", which is 3 hours 12 minutes long. And the first "Avatar" lasted 2 hours 42 minutes. A longer duration, of course, means fewer potential theatrical sessions during the day, which could affect ticket sales.
In total, Cameron plans to make five "Avatar" films: "Avatar 4" is scheduled for December 21, 2029, and "Avatar 5" for December 19, 2031.

In August 2024, the third "Avatar" received its official name and logo.
