The Rada plans to change the rent for the use of radio frequency spectrum: what is known

The draft law proposes to abolish all upward and downward coefficients applied to the rates of rent for the use of radio frequency resources of Ukraine.
In the coming days, the Verkhovna Rada will consider in the first reading a draft law that provides for the abolition of all increasing and decreasing coefficients applied to the rates of rent for the use of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine. UNN reports this with reference to the draft agenda of the Verkhovna Rada meeting and draft law No. 10423.
Details
According to the draft law, it is planned to cancel all upward and downward coefficients applied to the rates of rent for the use of radio frequency resources of Ukraine.
It is also envisaged to add to the list of rent payers business entities that are granted the right to use the radio frequency resource of Ukraine on the basis of a license for the use of radio frequency spectrum and an extract from the register of radio frequency assignments of general users.
The regulatory authorities will provide the relevant authorities with information on non-payment or partial payment of rent for the use of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine within three months, instead of six, as it is now.
In addition, the draft law provides for the elimination of the provision according to which the Cabinet of Ministers approved the methodology for calculating the rates of rent for the use of radio frequency spectrum.
Recall
According to the latest estimates by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in March 2024, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 158.1 billion in taxes, fees, and mandatory payments. In particular, UAH 1.4 billion was paid in rent.
