The NATO Summit, marking the 75th anniversary of the Alliance's founding, begins today in Washington. President Joe Biden will host representatives of NATO member states at the historic celebration of the strongest defense alliance in history.

The NATO summit starts in Washington today. U.S. President Joe Biden made a statement that he is looking forward to hosting our allies, UNN reports.

"Today marks the start of a historic summit to mark the 75th anniversary of NATO's founding. And later this evening, I look forward to welcoming 31 NATO members to our nation's capital to celebrate the strongest defense alliance in history," Biden wrote on social media site X.

The Alliance has already published a program of events for July 9. 

First, the heads of delegations must arrive at Andrews Base.

In addition, the NATO Secretary General is expected to deliver a speech at the Defense Industry Forum, followed by speeches by the NATO Secretary General and the United States Secretary of State.

Today's program will close with a celebration of NATO's 75th anniversary.
