The Ministry of Defense has approved a new regulation on the Interfaith Council on Military Chaplaincy. The Council will ensure cooperation between religious organizations and resolve disputes in the field of chaplaincy.
The Ministry of Defense has approved a new regulation on the activities of the Interfaith Council on Military Chaplaincy under the Ministry of Defense. The Interfaith Council, in particular, will ensure cooperation between religious organizations. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Interfaith Council will ensure cooperation between religious organizations whose clergy hold the positions of military chaplains, discuss and resolve disputes, and participate in the preparation of relevant regulations. The ministry noted that the council's decisions are advisory in nature and are submitted to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine or his deputy.
The Council is formed on the basis of equal rights of denominations, and each religious organization whose clergy hold the positions of military chaplains in the MoD system is represented by two persons. The personnel of the Interfaith Council is approved by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
