On the night of August 13, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the "Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat" oil-refining complex in the city of Salavat, Republic of Bashkortostan, russia. A fire was recorded on the premises of the enterprise. The distance to Ukraine's state border is about 1,300 km
"Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat," as noted, is one of russia's largest oil-refining and petrochemical complexes. Its hydrocarbon processing capacity is up to 10 million tonnes per year. The enterprise produces, in particular, motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene, and other petroleum products and polymers. It is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army, the General Staff noted.
