The Swedish prosecutor's office has closed the case against Dutch singer Justus Klein, who was disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest. Investigators did not find sufficient evidence of the singer's intention to harm the photographer.
The Swedish prosecutor's office has stopped prosecuting Dutch singer Justus Klein, who represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö but was disqualified. According to Suspilne, investigators found that there was no sufficient evidence of the singer's intention to seriously harm the photographer, in whose direction he allegedly made a threatening movement and broke the camera, UNN reports .

Because of this incident, the Eurovision organizers banned a contestant who had qualified for the final from participating in the main concert for the first time in its history.
The Dutch broadcaster Avrotros, which immediately sided with the singer, said that their position that Klein's disqualification was unnecessary and disproportionate was only confirmed. The company hopes that the European Broadcasting Union will now have a conversation with them.
