In northwestern Pakistan, a suicide bomber and a group of armed attackers targeted a security post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At least three police officers were killed in the attack. This was reported by the Associated Press, citing local police, according to UNN.

The attack occurred late in the evening on May 10 in the Bannu district near the border with Afghanistan. According to police spokesperson Zahid Khan, the attackers detonated a vehicle laden with explosives, which was followed by an intense shootout.

The TTP is a separate group, but it maintains allied ties with the Afghan Taliban, which returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
