The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has awarded the developer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 the title of Honorary Ambassador in the field of digital diplomacy. The game has become a symbol of resilience and sold over 1 million copies in the first 36 hours.

On December 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine presented the Honorary Ambassador of Ukraine 2024 award . Maxim Krippa's GSC Game World, the developer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, received the award of Honorary Ambassador of Ukraine in the field of digital diplomacy, UNN reports.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was recognized for its contribution to the global popularization of Ukraine. The game has become not only a symbol of the invincibility of the Ukrainian people, as it was created during a full-scale invasion, but also a cultural heritage: it contains many digitized elements of Ukrainian architecture, inscriptions with national motifs, books, and is dubbed in Ukrainian with folk and modern Ukrainian songs.

"Thank you for this great honor and recognition. I am proud to be a part of the GSC Game World team. I am grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to create and work for the benefit of our homeland," said Maxim Krippa, the owner of the company.

On November 20, GSC Game World presented the second version of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game, which takes place in a fantasy post-apocalyptic world in the Chernobyl zone. The game was enthusiastically received all over the world: more than 1 million copies were sold in the first 36 hours, and Twitch users spent more than 20 million hours watching the game's streams.
