Stabilization blackouts are introduced in Donetsk, Poltava, and Sumy regions of Ukraine due to a shortage of generating capacity and damage to the energy infrastructure caused by Russian military attacks.

Stabilization blackouts are being introduced in three regions of Ukraine . These are Donetsk, Poltava and Sumy regions, UNN reports.

According to DTEK, the reason for the introduction of stabilization blackouts in Donetsk region is enemy shelling.

"Due to enemy shelling, stabilization blackouts are being introduced in Donetsk region by order of NPC Ukrenergo. We are doing everything we can to return electricity to the homes of Ukrainians," DTEK said in a statement.

In turn, Philip Pronin, the head of Poltava RMA, also reported a shortage of generation in the region.

"Emergency power outage schedules have been reintroduced in the region. The reason is a shortage of generation capacity," said the RMA chairman.

The Sumy RMA notes that currently consumers of three queues are disconnected.

"At the direction of NPC Ukrenergo, due to the attack of the Russian military on the energy sector of Ukraine, emergency outage schedules have been introduced in Sumy region. Currently, consumers of the 7th, 8th, and 9th lines are disconnected. Specialists of JSC "SUMYOBLENERGO" are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation," the statement said.
