Shot two people and tried to flee – a service station worker from Georgia was detained in Kyiv

In the Desnianskyi district of the capital, a 34-year-old foreigner shot two men during a conflict. The suspect faces life imprisonment.

Employees of the Desnianska District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv have notified a 34-year-old Georgian citizen of suspicion of committing the intentional murder of two people. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
Details
According to the investigation, a conflict arose between the suspect and the victims. The suspect, who worked at a service station located within one of the garage cooperatives, shot one of the men dead and wounded the other.
Subsequently, the suspect discarded the weapon and clothing and fled the crime scene, but he was later detained. The victims were also Georgian citizens: one of them had a criminal record for apartment burglaries.
The causes of the conflict, as well as other circumstances of the crime, are currently being established. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination,
The detainee has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional murder with aggravating circumstances). The sanction of the article for the intentional murder of two people provides for imprisonment from ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
