Shooting in Kyiv region during the inspection of military registration documents: why a representative of the “Municipal Guard” opened fire

During a document check in Kyiv region, a car passenger hit a Municipal Guard officer and tried to escape. In response, the guard used a traumatic weapon, and the fugitive fled.
The Land Forces Command provided a step-by-step overview of the situation with the shooting in Kyiv region. The shooting occurred during the warning measures, and also emphasized that there were no victims, the man fled in an unknown direction, UNN reports.
According to the Land Forces, the following is currently known:
1. In accordance with the current legislation, the following notification group is involved in the notification activities in Prystolichna TG
2. It included, among others, military personnel of the RCCC and the JFO, officers of the National Police and the "Municipal Guard" of the community
3. The alert group checked the documents of drivers and passengers of cars traveling on community roads
4. During one of these checks, it turned out that the driver of the car was wanted for violating the rules of military registration. A passenger in the same car ran out of the car, hit a municipal guard and started running away
5. The employee of the "Municipal Guard" who was hit ran after the man and fired a traumatic weapon
6. No victims, the man fled in an unknown direction
"Currently, all the facts known at this time are being checked. We are once again asking all media platforms not to demonize the military personnel of the TCC and JV and to use only official data," the statement said.

The Ministry of Defense reportedthat it is looking into the incident involving the use of a weapon by a TCC employee in Shchaslyve, Kyiv region, where a man in military uniform shot at another man who was running away. Earlier, the police reported that the shooting was opened by a representative of the DFTG, not the TCC.
