Criminal proceedings have been initiated over the shooting in the village of Shchaslyve, Kyiv region, which occurred during the checking of men for military registration documents near a business, the actions of one of the representatives of the alert group are qualified as hooliganism, the regional police department reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"Investigators of the Boryspil Police Department of the Kyiv Region classified the actions of the DFTG representative under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code," the Kyiv Region Police said in a Telegram post.
As the police reminded, today at 8:50 a.m., during the monitoring of the social network, a video posted on one of the Telegram channels was found where a man in uniform was shooting at a man.
"As investigators found out, the alert group, in accordance with the order of the TCR, checked the men for military registration documents near one of the enterprises. While checking the driver's documents, the passenger got out of the car and ran to the territory of the enterprise," the police said.
According to the police, "at that moment, a representative of the volunteer group, who was in the alert group, on his own initiative began to catch up with him and fired two shots in the air.
There were no reported casualties as a result of the incident.
"The police seized a device for firing rubber bullets and shell casings," the police said.
