Shmyhal named Ukraine's "red lines" in negotiations with the US regarding the subsoil agreement
Kyiv • UNN
Ukraine is negotiating with the US on an agreement on mineral resources, but has "red lines". The conditions include the Constitution, the course to the EU and international law, Shmyhal emphasized.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that Ukraine is negotiating with the United States on a mineral agreement, but has clear "red lines" that it cannot cross. He said this during a final press conference in Brussels following the results of the Ukraine-EU Association Council, reports "Radio Liberty", writes UNN.
Of course, we have red lines. Firstly, it is our Constitution. Secondly, it is our aspiration for EU membership and our European obligations. Also, it is international law. We also understand that this should be a partnership agreement - with equal conditions for both parties.
He added that Ukraine is already forming a special technical delegation and has involved international legal companies. In the coming days, the Ukrainian delegation, together with lawyers, will go to the USA to participate in technical negotiations.
I think that the technical negotiations will take place this weekend, next week, then we will see the results after these negotiations... We are quite optimistic, because we must find a solution on how to conclude this agreement, a partnership agreement in the direct sense.
