An associate of the banned Sharia Party was detained by the SBU for attempting to disrupt mobilization in southern Ukraine through hostile propaganda.

The SBU detained an associate of the banned "Sharia Party" who tried to disrupt mobilization in the frontline areas in southern Ukraine through hostile IPSOs. UNN reports this with reference to the SBU.

Details

According to the SBU, the collaborator was an "asset" of the banned Sharia Party and cooperated with Russian intelligence. The detainee administered a Telegram channel in which she discredited conscription into the Armed Forces and called on Ukrainians to evade mobilization. She also popularized the Kremlin regime and Russian occupation groups.

According to the investigation, the collaborator kept in touch with the occupiers through her father and brother. Both of them left for Russia before the start of the full-scale invasion, and after the seizure of the left bank of Kherson region, they voluntarily joined the local "branch" of the occupying Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It has been established that before publishing destructive content, the suspect coordinated it with a representative of the Russian special service. She also received from him a list of topical issues that she had to "highlight" through the controlled information resource.  For cooperation with the occupiers, the woman received a "fee" from them.

The attacker was detained near Odesa. She was hiding near the regional center as an immigrant from Mykolaiv region.

SBU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • ч. 6 of Art. 111-1 (collaboration);
  • ч. 1, Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations during the special period).

She is currently in custody. She faces up to 12 years in prison.
