The Cabinet of Ministers has allowed educational institutions to use the remaining educational subvention for the purchase of multimedia and computer equipment for the subject “Defense of Ukraine”. The relevant resolutions were amended.
The Cabinet of Ministers has given educational institutions the opportunity to use the remaining educational subvention to purchase equipment, multimedia and computer equipment necessary for teaching the subject “Defense of Ukraine.” This was announced by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on Telegram, UNN reports.

“It is possible to use the remains of the educational subvention from the state budget to local budgets (under a special fund of the state budget) to ensure the teaching of the subject “Defense of Ukraine” and to purchase teaching aids, multimedia and computer equipment,” Melnychuk said.
He noted that the relevant amendments were made to resolutions No. 1023 “Issues of providing educational subventions from the state budget to local budgets (under the special fund of the state budget) in 2023” and No. 1374 “Some issues of providing educational subventions from the state budget to local budgets (under the special fund of the state budget) to ensure the teaching of the subject ‘Defense of Ukraine’.

The updated draft of the model curriculum “Defense of Ukraine”, designed for students in grades 10-11, is intended to replace the school subject “Defense of the Fatherland”. The project is planned to be launched this school year in communities where the security situation allows.
