German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is confident that together with Donald Trump he will be able to develop a strategy for Ukraine, writes UNN with reference to DW.

"I have already spoken in detail with the future US president by phone, and we are also having a direct dialogue with his security policy officials," Olaf Scholz said in an interview with Funke Mediengruppe.

I am confident that we will be able to develop a common strategy for Ukraine.

Also, the German Chancellor said that his main principle is the presence of Kiev in the negotiations on Ukraine. After all, he considers it important that the murders end, but at the same time the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine are preserved.

However, Olaf Scholz noted that the deployment of German peacekeeping troops in Ukraine will not be considered.

"In my opinion, such speculations are out of the question (... In the future, it will be necessary to discuss security guarantees so that Ukraine can be sure that Russia will not invade for the third time," the politician explained.
