"Today, Chancellor Scholz spoke on the phone with President Zelenskyy and discussed the political, military and humanitarian situation in Ukraine. President Zelenskyy informed about the consequences of Russia's recent attacks and thanked the German government for its military support, especially for strengthening Ukraine's air defense," the statement said.
The German Chancellor, as stated, "reaffirmed his unwavering solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russia's ongoing aggression."
"He assured that Germany will continue to support Ukraine in the military sphere in close coordination with European and international partners," Gebestreit said.
According to him, the German Chancellor and the President of Ukraine agreed to "continue the constructive exchange of information in order to provide global support for a peaceful solution and maintain close contacts.
