The star admitted that the idea of a good work-life balance does not exist.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Johansson shared that there is always a deficit somewhere in her life—despite her immense success.
"I think acknowledging the lack of work-life balance is the first step to achieving it, because it's impossible. There's always something… there's a deficit in some area, and I think you have to… I've learned to be kinder to myself. You can't do it all all the time, and so… it's just a question of… is this good enough?" the Marvel star began.
Johansson eventually accepted the fact that not everything in her life will always be perfect.
Currently, Johansson balances her marriage to comedian Colin Jost, raising two children, launching her own skincare brand, and her acting career. According to Forbes, Johansson earned $43 million in 2025 and was named the highest-paid actress of 2025.
Her perspective on success has changed in recent years.
"Someone once told me, 'If you're successful as a mother about 75% of the time, that's good—if you're doing 75% of it right, then you're winning,' which is probably true," Johansson said in the interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
