The President of Ukraine stated that more than 150 Chinese citizens are fighting against Ukraine as part of the Russian army. One of the captured Chinese men said that a Ukrainian soldier saved his life.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy published a video of the interrogation of Chinese citizens who were captured by Ukrainian soldiers. One of them said that he took up arms for the first time, and the other noted that a Ukrainian soldier saved his life when the Russians dropped a gas shell on him, reports UNN.
The first two captured Chinese citizens. Today, investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine spoke with them. We are clarifying all the facts regarding the presence of these and other Chinese citizens in the Russian occupation army. Ukrainian intelligence is also working. As of now, we have accurate data on more than 150 Chinese citizens who were involved by Russia in the war against Ukraine. We know that there are actually more of them
He noted that Ukraine believes that such even undisguised involvement of Chinese citizens by Russia in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine in the war of aggression is a conscious step towards expanding the war.
This is further evidence that Moscow simply needs to prolong hostilities. Russia does not care who will die in this insane war, it only needs the war to continue. We all need – all partners, all conscientious participants in international relations – that Russia loses the opportunity to continue the war, including through the use of such people
The President also posted a video of the interrogation of prisoners by SBU officers. In particular, one of them said that he was from Jiangxi Province, China. He said that it was his first combat mission, and before that he had not participated in hostilities. In addition, before getting to the war, he had never held a weapon in his hands.
Another 34-year-old Chinese man said that he was from Henan Province, Zhengzhou City. He said that he surrendered together with two other Russians, and two more Chinese "got lost somewhere".
In addition, according to him, a Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman saved his life after he surrendered, when the Russians dropped a gas shell on the shelter where he was, but the Ukrainian soldier pulled him out of there. He himself said that he inhaled this gas and thought he was going to die.
