Russia dropped 159 FAB bombs on its own and occupied territory of Ukraine in 2024. UNN reports this with reference to the ASTRA telegram channel.

It is reported that 100 people were evacuated due to the fall of a 250-kilogram aerial bomb in a village in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. 2 more fabs fell on the same day in the region, no one was injured.

As ASTRA found out, due to the "abnormal descent" of the FAB-250 from a Russian plane in the village of Kazatskoye in the Yakovlevsky city district, residents of several streets were evacuated on November 26, about 100 people in total. As sources in the emergency services of the region told ASTRA, an aerial bomb fell next to an apartment building on Novaya Street. The bomb did not explode, so no one was injured. Now the FAB has already been withdrawn, the residents have returned to their homes.

Another aerial bomb was found on the same day a few kilometers from the village of Nikolskoye in the Belgorod region. Another FAB was dropped in the Bystry farm on November 26. In both cases, there are no injuries or injuries.

Thus, it became known about at least 159 cases of FAB bombs falling in Russia and in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine in 2024.

On November 19, as reported by ASTRA, a Russian plane dropped a 250-kilogram aerial bomb on a school in the Belgorod region. The UMPB aerial bomb "accidentally descended" on a school in the village of Bykovka in the Yakovlevsky city district. According to sources, the bomb broke through the roof. There was no evacuation from the Bykovskaya SOSH. Police and territorial defense officers arrived at the scene.

As ASTRA previously told, in order to counter the Ukrainian air defense, the Russian army began to equip Soviet air bombs with UMPC complexes. After such an update, wings and satellite guidance appear on the Headlights, allowing you to launch bombs directly from the territory of the Russian Federation. The Russian army began to actively use the UMPC in the spring of this year. And the problem of updated fabs was immediately revealed — often bombs simply do not reach Ukraine. On May 4, a Russian plane dropped a FAB-500 on Belgorod, as a result of which 7 people were injured, 31 households and 10 cars were damaged. The authorities hid the reason for the fall of the bomb, as well as the fact that it was Russian.
