The UK Ministry of Defence intelligence believes that Russia has again canceled the main naval parade due to security issues. The reason cited is possible Ukrainian strikes, particularly after the attack on the frigate "Boykiy" in Kronstadt.
Russia has likely canceled its main Navy Day parade for the second consecutive year due to possible Ukrainian strikes. This conclusion was reached by the intelligence of the UK Ministry of Defence in its latest review, reports UNN.

British intelligence reminded that Russia's Navy Day is traditionally celebrated on the last weekend of July. From 2017 to 2024, the main naval parade took place in St. Petersburg with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, ships from various fleets, and representatives of foreign states.
It is noted that in 2024, the scale of the parade was reduced, and in 2025, it was completely canceled, almost certainly due to security concerns.

The UK Ministry of Defence also recalled that on June 3, 2026, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked the "Boykiy" frigate of the "Steregushchiy" class, which was in a dry dock in Kronstadt near St. Petersburg.
According to British intelligence, in the absence of the main naval parade, Russia will likely conduct naval exercises similar to the "July Storm" exercises that took place in 2025.
